Who I Am
I've been your cabin inspector, your property manager, your housekeeper, your reservationist and your cashier here in the Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Sevierville, area of the Tennessee Smoky Mountains. I've worked behind the scenes of the tourism industry in a variety of interesting jobs over the years and I've had a pretty unique perspective on things around here.

I was working as a cabin inspector the day of the devastating wildfires on November 28, 2016. I was in about 12 different cabins, scattered all over the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area that day, some of which I was the last person to ever step foot in before they burned to the ground that night.
I always took pictures as I worked, since I was overwhelmed by the beauty of what I saw day to day in the mountains. When I saw the devastation over the days and weeks that followed the fires, I was inspired to make my very first video about what I saw and the before and after pictures that moved me and broke my heart.

It also inspired me to make this site, where I can share the endless beauty, fun and adventures that this place seems to bring out the best in everyone who visits.
It reminds me of how I grew up in a world where playing in woods and creeks are some of my happiest childhood memories.

I'm not a big corporation, or even a business owner. I am the creator, designer, photographer, author and publisher of this site. While I do use some stock photos, many of the shots on the site are original and were taken by me.

I am a creative observer, an outdoor enthusiast, a lover of animals and nature, who wanted to write about, and share some things I love and see where they would take me.
